A love story
FOR OUR FAMILY AND COMMUNITY

Our Nonna (grandmother) was the heart and soul of the family, bringing us together with warm hugs and dinners around her table. As an Italian Immigrant family to New York, her food was uniquely American while paying homage to her family’s roots - all delicious. We're thrilled to carry on her legacy of sharing her Italian American recipes with Sebastopol and celebrating around the table every day.

On a very personal note, and a fortuitious coincidence, the owner’s first dog and forever loved companion, was named Bell. When you visit, try to find little “easter eggs” hidden throughout the restaurant that pay homage to her!
You may have spotted her paw prints on this site already!

Without a specific English translation, the word is drawn from campanile - or BELL tower. The campanile, traditionally the tallest and most prominent building in any village, has become, in the concept of campanilismo, an enduring symbol of devotion to, and love of ones town. Our approach to hospitality is similar - we take great pride in being local. Using local purveyors and focusing on our community is central to who we are. Building relationships and making friends with our neighbors is our reason for being!
